cultural, social and environmental resources. The cooperative points at becoming a point of reference for people, associations and corporations and institutions of the touristic sector, with particular attention to the touristic services for disabled.

The idea of a common project has been furnished by the mature experience given by the direct contact and the collaboration that some of our members have had, and still has, with the Disabled Sporting Association “Il Gattopardo”, working in the sector of sport for disabled in the promotion of the latter in the province of Agrigento and that has already organized sporting competitions either national or international (International Tournament table Tennis “Mediterranean Trophy”, at its fourth edition).

Such an experience of collaboration of the members of the promoter group with the former association, has been responsible for the decision and the awareness of the validity of this entrepreneurial project dedicated to the social tourism.

"MEDICULTURE" COOPERATIVA SOCIALE ONLUS ARL Was born in this way the 22^þ of January 2001.

Among its aims, there is that one to support the the working insertion of disabled, proposing itself as a cooperative of “B” type, as the 30% of its members it’s disabled.

At the moment the cooperative is composed by 12 members, 10 members and other two members like League SOL.CO. Brescia a partner of our cooperative, and CO.S.I.S. spa a financer member.  Mediculture has an Administration Council composed by 5 members and an Arbitration Board with 3 standing auditors and 2 substitute auditors. The members of the cooperative, despite his social seat at Palma di Montechiaro, are from others parts of the province of Agrigento (Licata, Naro, Grotte, Campobello di Licata, Agrigento, Montallegro).
